Details: Gala concert of the XVII season of the International Ballet Festival Dance Open - the largest in Russia and one of the leading ballet forums in Europe. The program of the gala concert, which was held on April 17, 2018, includes fragments and scenes from the ballets of Marius Petipa, Agrippina Vaganova, John Cranco, Alexey Ratmansky, Liam Scarlett, Edward Klug, Edward Liang, Mauro de Candia. This season, the discovery was the French dancer Sebastian Galtier, whose debut as a choreographer was held at the Gala Dance Open. The jury, chaired by the master of world choreography, Hans van Manen, chose winners in six nominations. The title “Miss Expressiveness” (the award for artistry) was won by the prima of the Berlin State Ballet Ksenia Ovsyanik, the soloist of the Royal Ballet of Sweden Hiroaki Ishida became “Mr. Expressiveness”. "Mr. Virtuosity" (prize for the technique) jury members called the premiere of the ballet Astana Bakhtiar Adamzhan, and "Miss Virtuosity" - will accept the Netherlands National Ballet Anna Ol. “The best duet” was recognized by a couple from the Bolshoi Theater - Ekaterina Krysanova and Igor Tsvirko, and Denis Drozdyuk, Lex Ishimoto and Daniel Ulbricht received the audience award.
